Time
The most important factor to keep in mind is time. Be sure to ask yourself, “when will your team be wearing the jerseys?”.
When designing the jerseys, it can take anywhere from a few days, to a few weeks before the final mockups are approved.
Do you already know exactly how you want the jerseys to look? Or are you starting from scratch, with no idea what you want? These questions will help give you an idea of how long you will need for the design process.
Once you finish the design and your order is placed, it will take roughly 6 weeks to produce the jerseys. Keep this in mind throughout the process to make sure you get the order in well in advance of the game date.
Designs
A lot of details go into the design of your jerseys and it can be easy to overlook one aspect or another. Here are some of the questions you’ll want to ask to make sure your jerseys turn out perfect.
Type
Which type of jersey are you looking for? A sublimated option or one with tackle-twill logos and numbers?
Style
Do you want something modern, or a classic looking striping pattern? Is there a jersey out there you want to replicate or are you designing something entirely new?
Features
What features do you want or need in the jersey? Is there a specific type of collar? Do you need a fight strap or extra material in the shoulders and elbows?
Color
What colors do you want/need in the jersey? Are there specific Pantone numbers you have, or are stock colors okay?
Order Form
When filling out the order form, you’ll want to make sure you have the following things prepared.
Sizes
If you’ve ordered from JOG before, will you be getting the same sizes? If you haven’t worn JOG jerseys before, how does our size chart compare to your current jerseys?
Numbers and Names
Do you have a set list of jerseys numbers or is each player picking their own number? Do you have the preferred spelling of each player’s last name? Are you even getting last names on the jerseys?
